Welcome to WECA

WECA is an Amateur (Ham) Radio club located in Westchester County, NY, about 25 miles north of New York City. We provide emergency communications support, public service event coverage, free license training, and a welcoming community of radio operators. Whether you are a seasoned Extra or curious about getting your first license, there is a place for you here.

Monthly meetings

Monthly Meetings

General session meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM, both in person and via Zoom. Board meetings are on the fourth Monday at 7:30 PM.

Free license classes

Free License Classes

WECA offers free Technician, General, and Extra class license preparation courses taught by experienced operators, on Tuesday evenings from September through May.

Repeaters and digital modes

Repeaters & Digital

Listen and talk on our 2 meter FM repeater at 147.06 MHz (PL 114.8). We also run FM repeaters on 220 and 900 MHz, a separate 70 cm analog repeater, and a 70 cm DMR (digital) system across the county.
